A Night of Philosophy is a series of nocturnal site-specific events staging Art & Philosophy in a championship for meaning. On going since 2010.
These series of events are created and directed by Mériam Korichi.
Mériam Korichi is a philosopher, a theatre stage director and a writer. She studied philosophy at the Sorbonne, at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Paris and at Harvard. Her work has been shown at the Frick Collection (New York), Kiasma Contemporary Art Museum (Helsinki), Teatro Vichama and Centro cultural PUCP (Lima), UNESCO (Paris), Beaux-Arts (Paris), MUCEM (Marseille) and Théâtre du Rond-Point (Paris). She has worked at the Comédie-Française, the Opéra Comique and the Bouffes du Nord. She regularly writes about the work of contemporary artists. She has published works on Spinoza, Andy Warhol, Shakespeare, Albert Camus, Charles Baudelaire and contemporary aesthetics and ethics. Her next book, Spinoza Code, will be published by Grasset in March 2024. She works on the boundaries between her different fields of activity, and considers performance to be one of the best vectors for cultural communication and innovation. In this spirit, she created the format of the all-night philosophy event A Night of Philosophy in 2010 and has staged it since in several cities around the world.
These events have been made possible by the generous support of various partners and producers: academic institutions, cultural institutions, art institutions and private sponsors.
